EU AI Act

The world's first comprehensive law regulating artificial intelligence, passed by the European Union in 2024. It classifies AI systems into four risk levels (prohibited, high-risk, limited, minimal) and imposes obligations on developers and deployers. Key deadline: August 2, 2026 for high-risk systems. Fines up to 35 million euros or 7 percent of global turnover.
